Yes – BTS star V (born Kim Tae-hyung) is collaborating with none other than the late Bing Crosby on a brand new version of the holiday classic White Christmas, set to release on Friday, December 6th.

After announcing a team-up earlier this week, BTS and Bing Crosby have officially confirmed the collaboration and shared the artwork with the caption “White Christmas – V & Bing Crosby, December 6, 2:00 PM (KST) | 12:00 a.m. (ET)” published.

If you’re wondering who the dog is, that would be V’s beloved Pomeranian, Tannie.

Fans were quick to express their excitement, with one commenting: “HELLO WE’RE SO READY.” “This is going to be so good guys,” said another.

K-pop idol V previously reported on “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas” last year; Bing had published his version of the title in 1951.

In a statement, V said, “I’m so grateful to have had the chance to be featured on a song with my favorite jazz artist of all time, Bing Crosby.”

“I grew up listening to his song “It’s Been a Long, Long Time” countless times a day, and I feel incredibly lucky and honored to have sung along to “White Christmas” in the voice of someone I consider Idol hold.”

So far, four festive LPs from Crosby’s have appeared in the charts in Great Britain: “White Christmas” (45) from 1974, “Christmas With Bing Crosby” (66) from 1991, “Christmas Classics” (18) from 1991 2019 and the compilation “The Voice Of Christmas – The Complete Decca Christmas Songbook” from 2020 ( 67).

Bing’s version of “White Christmas” reached its current No. 5 peak in 1977.

As a member of BTS alongside Jin, SUGA, j-hope, RN, Jimin and Jung Kook, V’s achieved nine top 40 singles and eight top 40 albums, including chart-toppers MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA (2019) and MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 (2020).

When will the official Christmas No. 1 single for 2024 be announced?

The official Christmas number 1 2024 will be announced on Friday, December 20th. The full Christmas Top 40 will be counted down on The Official Chart with BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders from 4pm GMT.

The full Top 100 Official Christmas Singles Chart and Official Christmas Albums Chart will be published on OfficialCharts.com from 5.45pm GMT on Friday 20 December.
