Bill Maher says there’s “a better chance of another ‘Joker’ musical” than Trump being thrown out of the election with “October Surprise.”

With the 2024 presidential election just weeks away, Bill Maher urged people to stop hoping for an “October surprise” that will “save us from a second Trump term.”

During his “New Rules” segment on HBO Real Time with Bill Maher On Friday, the host argued that the former president could commit the worst crimes “and it wouldn’t make a difference at all” or “get Donald Trump out of the race.”

“He beat up a porn star and attempted a coup, he steals from charities. If you’re waiting for an October surprise that will blow his mind, keep dreaming. There are better chances for someone else joker Musical,” Maher said, referring to the Joker: Folie à Deux Box office flop earlier this month.

The comedian continued: “Trump said last week that the actual purge, like in the movies, could be a good crime-fighting technique. “He is the only candidate who voters hope will not follow through on his campaign promises.”

Maher emphasized that Democrats “have gotten so used to thinking that there’s always a surprise in October that when it doesn’t happen, it actually seems strange… like a Diddy’s party where you just dance.” But he added: “You can’t surprise the voter who has seen everything.”

“The Access Hollywood “Tape in 2016 was a classic October surprise, and a lot of people thought it would work since touching pussy is generally frowned upon,” the host said as an example of a failed “October surprise” since he won the election that year had. He continued: “Including James Comey, who was so disgusted by this that he reopened an investigation into Hillary (Clinton) a few weeks later.”

Maher went on to explain why it appears that no matter what scandal he finds himself in, Trump’s place in the election will have no impact in the eyes of his supporters. “Trump’s superpower as a candidate is that he’s been constantly, pervasively awful for so long that you just don’t notice it anymore, just like you wouldn’t notice a new facial tattoo on Post Malone,” he said.

However, the host pointed out that Kamala Harris is “very vulnerable” to an “October surprise” because “she’s the only one who’s still undefined.”

The guests were featured in the latest episode of Real time were David Hogg, Mark Cuban and Joe Scarborough.
