Bill Belichick of the New England Patriots challenges Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams

Former legendary New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has made a name for himself as a sports commentator. After failing to get hired by another NFL team following his parting ways with the Patriots, he has appeared on numerous different media shows covering the NFL.

It was very entertaining for the fans to hear what he had to say about the league. His football knowledge provided some hilarious moments and some very good analysis.

Belichick was recently asked about Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, and what he had to say may not make Bears fans particularly happy.

Belichick made it clear that he has not been impressed with Williams so far, despite his spectacular plays in the preseason.

“Well, he wasn’t accurate, he hit 10 out of 20. There were a few highlights, but they weren’t that good.”

Williams was described as a “generational talent” before his rookie season. He is expected to lead Chicago back to success. But Belichick doesn’t believe the hype yet.

In Week 1, Williams has a chance to silence all the doubters. In his home debut, his Bears will face the Tennessee Titans.

Acquiring legends like Belichick is never an easy task. It will never happen until a single NFL snap has been taken.

However, it’s also good that there are still some who don’t think Williams is a superstar yet. He needs to stay grounded and motivated to reach his full potential. Proving Belichick wrong could certainly be a motivational tool for him.

That being said, Belichick also brings up a very good point. The completion percentage problem is a very real problem. He also only made a few highlight plays.

It will be interesting to see how Williams performs for Chicago in Week 1. He will look to go full steam ahead, and the Bears will likely throw the football to him quite a bit.
