Biden declined ice cream request after threatening to take comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who mocked Puerto Rico, “swimming.”

President Biden is experiencing a difficult end to his term in office.

The 81-year-old commander in chief was denied his favorite flavor of ice cream on Tuesday when a Baltimore store ran out of chocolate chips – shortly after the lame duck said menacingly that he would like to attack the comedian who mocked Puerto Rico at a Donald Trump rally -Sunday “for swimming”.

Biden had to make do with a scoop of vanilla and a scoop of chocolate – and the store owner insisted: “I would have made some if I had known you were coming!”

The disappointing tidbit came after Biden punctuated his farewell tour’s messages about the impact of big spending bills with an off-script segment about comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who emerged from relative obscurity by describing Puerto Rico in Madison Square as a “floating.” Garden described Garbage Island as a warm-up program for the 45th president and Republican candidate.

“I am proud to announce more than $3 billion in funding from my Inflation Reduction Act to support the cleanup and modernization of ports in 27 different states and territories from Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and beyond – including Puerto Rico too,” Biden said at the port of Baltimore.

“I’d like to take that guy out there swimming,” the commander-in-chief said, before trailing off and saying, “Anyway.”

“(Rep.) Steny (Hoyer) looks at me: ‘Don’t go, Joe,'” Biden added.

The president gave no details about what he would do to the 40-year-old Hinchcliffe during that swim.

Democrats are trying to use Hinchcliffe’s words to boost voter turnout among large Puerto Rican populations – such as in Pennsylvania, home to nearly 500,000 island descendants and where the Republican candidate lost in 2020 by just over 80,000 votes.

Trump, 78, is also trying to turn the controversy around by drumming up new support from Puerto Ricans, as polls show he could improve his standing among Hispanic voters after gaining ground in 2020.

The taunt was similar to previous Biden comments, such as his 2016 remark about Trump: “I wish we were in high school – I could take him behind the gym.”

In 2018, Biden reflected on that comment, adding that he could physically “beat the hell out of” Trump if he actually went behind the gym.

Trump has often mocked the idea of the frail Democrat beating him up.

“Do you know what would happen if he took me behind the barn? This is what I would do,” Trump said earlier this year, letting out a puff of air and indicating that the breeze would blow Biden away.

“It would happen very quickly. It would be over very quickly.”

The president appeared in the safe Democratic state on Tuesday, exactly a week before the presidential election between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, who replaced Biden on the ticket after Democrats mutinied over his apparent cognitive decline and forced him to resign on July 21.

Biden will hole up in the White House later on Tuesday as Harris, 60, delivers a widely publicized “closing argument” to voters during a large rally at the Ellipse building south of the presidential palace.
