However, Swiatek showed an amazing serving performance, didn’t allow any break points and won the match in straight sets. Last year at the US Open, Iga lost to Ostapenko in the round of 16.

Liudmila Samsonova has won four of her last five matches. So far in the tournament, Samsonova has lost just one set, in her second round match against Bouzkova. Liudmila won her third round match against Krueger 6-1 and looked great on the court. Last year in New York, Samsonova lost in the third round to Keys.

According to the bookies, Iga is the heavy favorite in this matchup and we agree. However, Samsonova showed great tennis in her last match and if she can repeat that performance, we believe she will cause problems for Iga.
