Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase Details Online Gaming Interactions: ‘It’s Just Funny to See That’

CINCINNATI – Ja’Marr Chase is an avid video game player and there was some interesting online interaction when fans found out he was behind the on-screen username.

Chase delved into that part of his life off the field on Thursday.

“So 2K gives us NFL players a football over our heads and our name on the game, so we can’t sneak out at night and play the game because it says Ja’Marr Chase is in the game. ” he remarked. “That’s when I realized I’m becoming a little more global when kids get on the microphone and scream my name. It’s just funny to see that.”

Thanks to his username, it’s clear when playing with Chase, and he said some of the comments weren’t particularly pleasant when it came to him.

“Not so toxic,” Chase said of the things people say to him. “But the craziest thing is probably just something like, ‘You, you sold my fantasy’ or ‘I’m sick of you and the Bengals’ or ‘Steelers rule’ or something like that, some kid stuff they do. I just laugh about it because they don’t really know I’m playing, they just see my name. It’s funny.
