Affleck was seen wearing his wedding ring amid reports that he and Lopez were having marital problems

Ben Affleck was spotted wearing his wedding ring while out and about in Santa Monica, California on Tuesday, May 21, amid reports that he and Jennifer Lopez were having marital problems.

Affleck, 51, was spotted with a group of friends in a casual outfit consisting of tan jeans and a navy button-down shirt, with his wedding ring clearly visible on his left hand.

Earlier in the evening, Affleck dined at upscale Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica.

Also on Tuesday, 54-year-old Lopez walked alone down the red carpet to the premiere of her upcoming film Atlas at Plaza Toreo Parque Central in Mexico City. For the occasion, Lopez wore an angelic, floor-length white Chloé dress with oversized ruffles and a plunging neckline.

The piece flowed over her arms and hands and it was unclear if she was wearing her wedding ring.

This wasn’t the first event Lopez attended alone, as she and Affleck face speculation that their marriage is in trouble. On Monday, May 20, Lopez went solo to the Netflix sci-fi film premiere at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood.

Affleck was not present as he was filming his own project — The accountant 2.

Things are said to be rocky between Lopez and Affleck, who tied the knot in 2022 after rekindling their romance from the early 2000s.

A source told PEOPLE on Tuesday that their marriage is “not in the best shape right now.”

A music source added that Lopez and Affleck, who live just miles apart, are not on the same wavelength.

However, a source from the film noted: “He was always impressed by how hard she works and how successful she is. But openness and publicity are not his style.”
