“She wants to be her own individual. She feels like she’s constantly in her mother’s shadow. She doesn’t like that her mother divorced her father, she’s dealing with her father’s death and also just being a young person who’s being bullied at school,” Ortega continued. “I think she holds a lot of resentment and unfortunately blames her mother for it, whereas Lydia in the first (film) is naturally dark and serious and just has that quality about her. Astrid is just at a loss, I think.”

what is Beetlejuice Beetlejuice about?
