Following the success of the long-running franchise that began in 1995, Smith and Lawrence recently discussed the prospect of returning for a fifth film, with the pair sharing that they would both be open to the idea.

“Well, these younger actors are definitely going to have to do more stunts,” Smith said. “It’s just a real joy to be around this world and the characters. In a cinema with Mike and Marcus it just feels like home.

“So as long as there’s a reason – I never wanted to be one of those guys who makes sequels just because people leave. Can something happen in the lives of these characters that would be worth asking people to go to the movies for?”

“(I) always have a lot of fun making these films,” Lawrence added. “You have to give the fans what they want. Will and I are having a great time working together. As long as the fans want it and the demand is there, I will continue to try to give them what they want.”
