Jenn Tran addresses Maria Georgas’ response to claims that Devin Strader followed her right after they called off their engagement.

After Jenn criticized Devin’s behavior after her historic marriage proposal to him, The Bachelorette In the season 21 finale, she tells PEOPLE exclusively why she mentioned on After the Final Rose that he follows Maria on social media.

The Bachelorette points out his lack of consideration for their relationship – Jenn said Devin broke off their engagement in a 15-minute phone call – and says her comment about Maria was merely an example of Devin’s poor choices.

“When I mentioned her name on stage, I knew it would cause a huge stir, but it was important for me to highlight the way Devin disrespected me,” Jenn explains. “It has nothing to do with Maria. I know nothing happened.”

“She’s a lot smarter than Devin,” Jenn continues. “I know she wouldn’t have done anything anyway. So I didn’t bring this up to basically speculate what happened, because I know nothing happened. But the fact that he tried is disappointing to me.”

Jenn also reveals that Maria has not reached out to her personally, but she has watched Maria’s TikTok video where she talks about the situation and reiterates that she has never interacted with Devin and has no plans to.

“Look, I love the girl. I support her from afar and I’m glad we’re on good terms, that’s all,” Jenn tells PEOPLE, adding, “It’s OK.”

Someone unexpected that Jenn says she did The only person we heard of was Sam M., who had spent much of his time The Bachelorette and draws attention to the fact that Devin is there for the wrong reasons.

“Sam contacted me and sent me a message, which was honestly very nice,” she admits.

On Men Tell All, Jenn had a few words for Sam M. after viewers saw him tell her that the other guys expected Maria or Daisy – who was on Joey Graziadei’s season with Jenn – to be the Bachelorette. Still, Jenn says she’s grateful for the support all the men have offered her.

“Ultimately, I think there was a point where they talked about Devin and didn’t say anything about me in public, and that was it,” she says. “But I mean, at this point, I don’t owe them anything. They don’t owe me anything. It is what it is.”

On Thursday, September 5, just two days after the After the Final Rose special aired, Maria took to her social media to dispel rumors that she had been spending time with Devin. She captioned the post, “Let it rest.”

“I’m over defending my character,” she said. “I know who I am and my friends and family know who I am. The fact that you guys watched me through a screen and could still see how real I was is beyond me. I understand Jenn needs to speak out about it – say what you think, girlfriend, I respect it. I just think it makes people believe a whole different story when you don’t know the full context.”

“I had no idea about (Devin’s follow) until people brought it to my attention,” she continued. “And by the time I found out, he had already unfollowed me. Let me be clear: I have never met Devin before… I never went to a club with (Devin). He did his own thing. Did I go out with Jeremy — a night with friends, a couple of us together? Yes, I have.”
