Clarksville, Tennessee: – Jessica Combs, head coach of the Austin Peay State University (APSU) women’s golf team, has named Kristin Holt, a former Grace College golfer, as her assistant coach.

“I am so excited to have Kristin join our team,” said Combs. “She will bring so much joy, peace and understanding to the team in so many ways. I know she will be a perfect fit and will help us achieve our goals on and off the golf course. I am very grateful for her help and commitment to go above and beyond in implementing the Total Gov Concept!”

Holt played golf for three seasons at Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana, and ranks ninth in program history with a career average of 85.69. During her third and final season at Grace, Holt helped the Lancers win the 2019 National Christian College Athletic Association Team National Championship.

Holt, an NAIA Scholar and 2019-20 Athlete, graduated from Grace College in May 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in facility and event management and a master’s degree in business administration.

After graduating, Holt worked as an event specialist at Notre Dame and then as a maintenance management planner for Pregis. Before moving into college sports, Holt also worked as a contracts administrator for the Sterling Group in Mishawaka, Indiana.

During the 2023-24 season, Holt served as a volunteer assistant to her mother, Susan Holt, the head coach at Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana. Prior to Saint Mary’s College, Susan Holt served as the head coach at Notre Dame for 16 years.

As a volunteer assistant, Holt worked with the Belles at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Conference Championship and the Division II National Championship.

Holt and the Austin Peay State University women’s golf team will begin the 2024-25 season at the Kansas State Powercat Invitational Sept. 8-10 at Colbert Hills Golf Course in Manhattan, Kansas.
