Armie Hammer says that now that he’s back in Los Angeles, he’s starting over…and that means saying goodbye to a gas-guzzling truck full of fond family memories.

The actor says he has to sell a truck he’s owned for seven years because gas costs are getting out of control… and takes it to CarMax despite his kids begging him not to say goodbye to the car.

Before completing the purchase, Armie cleans out the car and gets emotional as he thinks back to all the family trips and important events he’s experienced behind the wheel…including driving his children home from the hospital.

AH says his kids want him to keep the truck, but with gas prices well over $4 a gallon in LA and all the traffic and driving around town, Armie says it’s just not practical for him anymore.

Instead, Armie says he’s upgrading to a small hybrid car … and he says he’s constantly reminding himself of how much money he’ll save on gas and how much easier parking will be to cope with the loss of his beloved truck.

Armie says he bought the vehicle as a Christmas present for himself in 2017… and the video makes it pretty clear how much the car means to him and his kids.
