While hosting, Grande not only impersonated personalities like Celine Dion, Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus, but also wowed the audience as a bridesmaid who couldn’t quite hit the right note

The 31-year-old singer served as host of Saturday Night Live on October 12, where she appeared as the evening’s musical guest along with Stevie Nicks.

From a monologue filled with celebrity impressions to hilarious skits in which she impersonated the likes of Jennifer Coolidge and Celine Dion, Grande’s third role SNL Host was a hit.

The singer spoofed a Maybelline commercial and performed a mirror image of Chloe Fineman’s “Coolidge,” where they applied the brand’s lip gloss and discussed what to talk about on an upcoming date.

Although both Fineman, 36, and Grande nailed their impersonations TheWhite lotus The 63-year-old actress – complete with voluminous hair, pink outfit and pout – giggled several times during the skit.

Grande burst out laughing as she and Fineman discussed what to say when her date asked her “if we could have superpowers,” as well as when the two spray-painted her smudged “mirror” and after Dana Carvey came third Coolidge performed and the three of them applied their Maybelline lip gloss to each other.

But after being handed a microphone, she quickly launched into perfect impressions of Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus and Gwen Stefani, before Bowen Yang briefly appeared as one Evil‘s Glinda and a number of dancers accompanied her on stage.

Proving that she really can act, the usually vocally talented actress also played a bridesmaid who couldn’t quite nail her tone in the “Bridesmaid Speech” sketch. Joined by fellow bridesmaids Heidi Gardner, Ego Nwodim and Sarah Sherman, Grande sang (badly) about the group’s bachelorette party for Fineman’s bride, to the tune of Sabrina Carpenter’s hit “Espresso.”

Another standout moment was when Grande played Dion, 56, for “Celine Dion Sports Promo,” where her version of the Canadian singer filmed a UFC promo that included a spot during the performance of Dion’s “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now.” “ included.

Grande’s appearance marked her third time hosting the late-night comedy sketch series. She has appeared as a musical guest three times.

Grande’s hosting gig is underway SNL was in the promotion of Evil – the upcoming film adaptation of the Tony-winning Broadway musical.

It stars “Eternal Sunshine” musician Glinda, alongside Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba. (The musical’s original Broadway cast included Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel in the roles.)

Fineman, Gardner, Nwodim, Michael Che, Mikey Day, Andrew Dismukes, James Austin Johnson, Colin Jost, Sarah Sherman, Kenan Thompson and Yang round out the rest of the cast.
