Annapolis Sunsets: Orange and Purple Bus Lines. New on-demand service takes over

In mid-July, the City of Annapolis launched “Go! Time,” an on-demand transit service that replaces the Orange and Purple bus routes. The service allows riders to go directly from their pickup location to their destination without always having to travel the entire route. Due to the success of the four-week pilot, the Annapolis Department of Transportation will discontinue scheduled service on only these two routes (Orange and Purple) after Friday, August 16. All other scheduled service on the Brown, Green and Red lines will remain unchanged.

To access Go! Time service, customers should download the free Transigo app (Apple or Android) or call Transportation Dispatch at 410-263-7964. Riders can select pickup locations within three-quarters of a mile (¾ mile) of the current orange and purple route(s) to determine the most convenient pickup location for the passenger and driver.

Go! Time fares remain the same: $2 per ride – or $1 for seniors and disabled people – or use an Annapolis Transit bus pass (including daily, 7-day, 30-day, 90-day or annual passes). Credit cards, debit cards and digital wallets are not currently accepted on Annapolis City buses.
