Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh have really gotten into the role in their new film We live in time. They were so engrossed in their characters that they couldn’t hear the director say “cut.”

Because of this, the two went “further” in their sex scene than they were supposed to, making viewers uncomfortable on the closed set. Garfield discussed the first shot of the passionate love scene, which they missed during a visit to the 92NY cultural center.

“The scene becomes more passionate as we choreograph it,” he explains. “And we kind of get into it and go a little further than we should because we haven’t heard ‘Cut’ and it feels safe.” And we just say, ‘Okay, let’s do that.’ Just move on to the next step, we’ll let it move on and keep going.’”

As they let it progress, they caused discomfort to the camera and boom operators. To the point that at least one of them had to turn away from what was happening.

“At a certain point we both kind of telepathically say to each other, ‘This definitely feels like a long take,'” Garfield continued.

“I look up and in the corner is Stuart and our boom operator. Stuart has the camera at his side and is turned towards the wall.”

I think it’s safe to say Garfield knows what he’s doing here. The sex scenes in this movie are so intense that you will have no choice but to watch them.

The actors themselves got involved and went a little too far.

If that doesn’t sell a few extra tickets, I don’t know what will. I’m sure Pugh wants everyone to know that the film is more than just sex scenes between the two, but that’s not how you sell a product.

Everyone already knows that it’s not one sex scene after another.

However, when you hear that people had to turn away on a closed set, you’ll be a little more curious to find out what was going on and maybe just take the time to watch the film.

Let’s face it, no matter how hard some people try to deny it, sex still sells.
