American Airlines is adding a new flight from DFW to a dreamy Italian vacation spot

American Airlines is adding a new daily flight from DFW International Airport to a destination in Italy.

Beginning in summer 2025, American Airlines will fly to Venice, Italy and expand service between DFW and London Heathrow Airport. The new flight to Venice will operate from June 5 using Boeing 787-8 aircraft. The airline is also adding another daily flight to London.

“It’s clear that Europe continues to be a top destination for our customers, and we’re excited to offer more ways to get there directly from DFW,” said Jim Moses, senior vice president of DFW Operations at American Airlines, in a press release. “As America’s largest hub, we not only offer an unparalleled network for customers in our hometown, but we also take great pride in our connectivity strength – giving customers from more than 200 destinations across North America the opportunity to visit Europe with a convenient stopover DFW.”

Venice is the capital of the northern Italian region of Veneto and lies on over 100 small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. According to aviation analytics firm Cirium, there are currently no flights from DFW to Venice.
