Alien: Isolation, Doom Eternal and BioShock are free for Prime members

Whether it’s coincidence or maybe because Amazon is very good at reading the room, Alien: Isolation is free to play for Prime members through Halloween through its Luna Cloud game streaming service. This is welcome news given Creative Assembly’s surprise announcement this week that a sequel to the first-person thriller was in development. If you haven’t had a chance to play the original, which remains one of the scariest games on the market, you can quickly launch it via the internet browser on your laptop, phone, tablet or probably your smart TV. Luna games support keyboard and mouse, but you can play via a connected controller. Considering this 2014 game still sells for $39.99 on Steam, that’s all the motivation I need to play it through Luna.

Amazon is offering Prime members two more free and fantastic first-person shooters worth keeping. Eternal fate (redeemable in the Microsoft Store) and BioShock Remastered (GOG.com) can be picked up now until November 14th or January 8th, 2025. I guess if there’s one common denominator between all of these games, it’s that they’re full of beasts and mutations that want to kill you, and I would be absolutely unhappy to be stuck in one of their worlds.

First of all, if you don’t happen to subscribe to Amazon Prime, you’ve missed out on the biennial Prime Day sale. However, it’s not too late to miss out on these extras. So grab a subscription if you want. With a Prime membership you can also secure a large catalog of other free games including Borderlands 2 in the Epic Games Store, Kerbal space program And Cat quest 2 on GOG.com and many more.
