A previously unseen video from Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s grand Indian wedding shows Akash Ambani in his role as father. The elder Ambani scion was filmed consoling his daughter Veda during the baraat.

Akash Ambani is the eldest son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani. He is married to Shloka Mehta, with whom he has two children – three-year-old Prithvi and one-year-old Veda.

When his little daughter became restless during the Baraat, as little children do, Akash Ambani rushed to her aid.

“Vedu babu, Papu is coming,” the elder Ambani scion was heard saying after seeing his daughter crying amidst the commotion. The video also showed groom Anant Ambani and Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, who also turned to console his granddaughter.

Anant Ambani married his long-time girlfriend Radhika Merchant on July 12 in a star-studded ceremony in Mumbai. The wedding was the culmination of months of celebrations, including a three-day party in Jamnagar and a luxury cruise in the Mediterranean. In fact, Veda’s first birthday party was also held on board the luxury cruise, which took guests to Italy and France.

Immediately after the wedding and the three receptions that followed, the newlyweds flew to Jamnagar, where the billionaire Ambani family owns a sprawling estate. They were later spotted with the rest of the family in Paris, where they planned to attend the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta and their two children were also seen at the Olympics in Paris.

After Paris, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant continued their honeymoon in Costa Rica and Panama.
