Adele will miss her fans “terribly” but she is ready for a much-needed break from music after she finishes her Las Vegas residency later this year.

The “Make You Feel My Love” singer ended her Munich performance on Saturday and told her fans at the end of her tenth show in the German city that she would not be hearing from her again after her “Weekends With Adele” shows in Las Vegas end in the fall.

“I’ve really enjoyed performing… it’s been three years now, which is the longest I’ve ever performed and the longest I’ll probably ever perform. But after that, I’ve got 10 shows left, back at my (Las Vegas) residency… but after that, I won’t see you for an incredibly long time and you’ll be very close to my heart during my entire break,” the 36-year-old said of her planned extended break.

“And I’m going to dream about these shows and all the shows I’ve done over the last three years and keep them deep in my heart forever. It was incredible,” Adele said in a TikTok video recorded at the concert. “I just need a break.”

While speaking on stage, she became visibly emotional and said: “I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now. I want to live the life that I have built for myself and I will miss you terribly.”

The Grammy winner wrapped up her Munich residency this weekend, which began on August 2, playing at the open-air venue Messe München. Adele’s Munich shows were her first appearance on “mainland Europe” since 2016, according to the residency’s website.

Back in the States, the “Easy On Me” singer will perform the last ten shows of her Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace from October 25 to November 23.

Her residency began in November 2022, and by the time it ends this fall, she will have performed a total of 100 shows, despite some mishaps and postponed shows.

This is not the first time her fans have heard of Adele’s announcement to step away from performing and recording new music.

In an interview with German broadcaster ZDF in July, Adele said she wanted to focus on “other creative things.”

“I have no plans for new music at all,” she told the outlet. “After this, I want to take a big break and I think I want to do other creative things for a short while.”
