Rumours of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan getting divorced have gained momentum. The rumours started when Abhishek attended the Ambanis’ wedding with his family and Aishwarya was seen with her daughter Aaradhya. The rumours were also fuelled when Abhishek liked a post about the increasing number of divorces. Things got even worse when a fake video created using artificial intelligence showing Abhishek’s confession of divorce went viral.

Abhishek rejects divorce

Abhishek Bachchan has spoken out about the rumours and confirmed that he is still happily married. In an interview with Bollywood UK Media, he showed off his wedding ring and said, “I am still married.” He also mentioned, “I don’t have much to say about it. You all have blown it out of proportion. I understand that you need stories to put out there. It’s okay; we are celebrities and we have to deal with it.”

A self-proclaimed fan account shared a viral clip in which Abhishek allegedly announces his separation from Aishwarya Rai and mentions their daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. In the fake video, he allegedly says, “This July, Aishwarya and I decided to get a divorce.” However, many people noticed dubbing issues in the video, prompting social media users to question its authenticity.

Abhishek Bachchan: Family moments and future appearance

Abhishek was seen with Aishwarya during the shooting as well as the release of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’. Aishwarya, in turn, was a huge supporter of Agastya Nanda at the premiere of his debut project ‘The Archies’ last year. She posed for pictures with Abhishek, their daughter Aaradhya, Agastya and other family members.

Recently, Abhishek attended the Paris Olympics alone and was seen cheering for Indian athletes and celebrating with Neeraj Chopra after he won a silver medal in the javelin.

On the work front, Abhishek has joined the cast of ‘King’, which also stars Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan. He will also be seen in Remo D’Souza’s upcoming film ‘Be Happy’ and is attached to Shoojit Sircar’s next project.
