We’ve got our first look at the Minecraft movie, and there’s a lot here for Minecraft fans to analyze. The opening scene of the trailer shows off some sort of portal, though we’re not entirely sure what kind of portal it is. Definitely different from a Nether or End portal, unless the movie reimagines portals in a different way. And then we get glimpses of the overworld! You see small towns, villages, mountains, a pink sheep, and the villainous Piglins! Everything looks like it’s been run through RTX, which improves all the textures and fidelity. Check out the Piglins, because it looks like they’ll be one of the main antagonists in the movie, causing all sorts of havoc. Piglins are monstrous creatures that live in the Nether, an underworld filled with monsters of all kinds. They probably won’t bother you in the game if you’re wearing full gold armor. In fact, they allow you to mine gold when you wear them and gain the Gold Rush buff. The Piglins seem to have chained up these Ghast creatures. Ghasts are large floating jellyfish spirits you encounter in the Nether that shoot fireballs at you. It’s kind of weird to see the Ghasts and Piglins running amok in the overworld along with the Piglin Brutes. #TheMinecraftMovie is shaping up to be something special for #Minecraft fans, and with these #MinecraftMovie Easter eggs on display, fans have a lot to look forward to.
