The audience can feel the minutes ticking by as Gene tries to wriggle out of the assassination attempt. The film even manages to squeeze character development and small story arcs into its short running time, which is an impressive feat in itself.

This TV movie laid the foundation for the main characters of the 7th season and compressed the entire story into two hours.
