The weather in the Coachella Valley today was phenomenal. Considering it’s still August, the football forecast for tonight is as good as you could hope for. Shadow Hills takes on Indio High at 7:00 p.m. with temperatures just above 90 degrees. By the time everyone heads home for the evening, temperatures will drop to just above 70 degrees.

As we’ve mentioned over the past few days, it will be windy to gusty throughout the Valley tonight, with the strongest winds felt in the usual wind-prone areas along the I-10 corridor and near the mountains. Saturday will see conditions very similar to today, though with slightly lower highs and possibly slightly lighter winds in the evening.

As mentioned above, Saturday night will also be windy. However, the winds will keep our temperatures incredibly comfortable. Saturday will be the coolest day, with highs around 38°C. Sunday will see the start of a warming trend that will peak on Tuesday. While highs will gradually increase over the next week, they will likely only exceed the seasonal average by a few degrees.
