Tony Hawk Pro Skater fans are excited about this social media update

The official social media accounts for Tony Hawk Pro Skater have been refreshed ahead of the series’ upcoming 25th anniversary – and some fans are very excited about it.

While the news of YouTube, X/Twitter, and Facebook receiving a commemorative banner doesn’t sound particularly newsworthy, interestingly, all of the images now feature a new copyright notice dated 2024, suggesting that Activision recently renewed the series’ copyright… and that’s the part that gets the rumor mill going.

Perhaps most notable, however, is the news that Activision is celebrating the series’ 25th anniversary “all month long” … which has some hoping that remasters of parts 3 and 4 could be revealed sooner rather than later.

While Pro Skater 1 and 2 received remakes some time ago, fans missed the planned remakes of 3 and 4 after Vicarious Visions merged with Activision Blizzard in 2022 (thanks, TheGamer).

And if Spyro is any indication, fans might be right. In January, a new tweet from the official Spyro the Dragon Twitter/X account—and then a website update—raised hopes that a new installment might be on the way.

Earlier this year, footage of a canceled futuristic sci-fi game “Call of Duty,” developed by Tony Hawk’s studio Neversoft, leaked online.

The footage comes from a cancelled Xbox 360-era Call of Duty game known as Future Warfare (or internally “NX1”). The game was originally developed at Neversoft, which was eventually folded into Infinity Ward in 2014.
