Sue passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Our House of Murray County Hospice in Slayton, MN, after a brave battle with brain cancer.

Sue was born on April 20, 1951 in Clarkfield, MN to Clarence and Leona Eischens. She spent her childhood on a farm near St. Leo, MN and graduated from Minneota High School in 1969. On May 15, 1971, Sue married Dean Gorecki, the love of her life, at the Church of St. Leo. Together they raised three daughters in Minneota.

Sue dedicated her entire career to the SW/WC Service Cooperatives, organizing numerous conferences for students, teachers, and school administrators. She retired in 2014 and was able to spend more time with her grandchildren and enjoy Texas winters with Dean.

Sue loved going to her lakeside cabin and spent time fishing, working in her flower garden, or watching birds and squirrels. An avid Minnesota sports fan, she cheered (sometimes loudly) for the Twins and Vikings. She also enjoyed hanging out with friends and playing mahjong and bridge.

Sue will be greatly missed. She leaves behind her husband Dean; her daughters: Sara (Jeremy) Meyer of Springfield, MN, Kari (Ben) Buisker of Warner, SD; and Melissa (Jeremiah Maxfield) Gorecki of Warner, SD; her grandchildren: Kendall, Allie, Lincoln, Keira, Madden, and Miles; her sisters: Karen (Roger) Boerboom, Luella Eischens, Edna Gossen, and Faye (Larry) Haugen.

Her parents Leona and Clarence Eischens and her brothers Francis and Curtis Eischens predeceased her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Our House of Murray County Hospice, 36 Park Drive, PO Box 86, Slayton, MN, 56172.

All who knew Sue will miss her dearly and remember her fondly.
