Doctor who sexually harassed three women is removed from the list

A doctor had his license revoked because he sexually harassed three women in two hospitals.

In 2019, Dr Abdullatif Abdulhadi was found to have behaved inappropriately towards a teenage girl at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, including attempting to give her food.

A panel also found that he acted inappropriately towards two other doctors at Kettering General Hospital in Northamptonshire between late 2021 and early 2022.

It was said that his misconduct was so serious that removal from the medical register was “the only appropriate sanction”.

The Medical Practitioners Tribunals Service panel heard that the teenager was doing an internship at the Oxford hospital when she quit “to get away from him”.

The allegations that Dr Abdulhadi tried to feed her food from his hand and suggested they “visit a pretty seaside town together” were proven.

The allegations that he told her “not to worry because I wouldn’t hurt her” – or something similar – and that he kissed her on the neck on another occasion were also found to be proven.

The panel said Dr Abdulhadi’s apology to the General Medical Council in November 2022 “contained no reference or admission of the impact his actions” had had on the women.

It was said that his behavior was sexually motivated and that the two doctors “both tried to avoid being alone with him” after the incidents.

All three women said they were concerned that there would be “an escalation of inappropriate behavior,” the statement said.
