Arrest after truck theft at Southtown Pourhouse

FARGO, ND (Valley News Live) – A man is charged with grand larceny for allegedly stealing a person’s pickup truck from a south Fargo bar.

Phoenix Jarold Lindblad is accused of stealing a motor vehicle valued at over $50,000.

On Sunday, August 25, police were called to Southtown Pourhouse around 1:30 a.m. for a report of a vehicle being stolen. A man told officers he drove to the bar around 1:15 a.m. to pick up a friend, and when he came back outside, his vehicle was gone.

The victim told officers the 2024 Toyota Tundra was worth about $73,000. He was able to track the vehicle using a GPS app on his phone.

A North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper found the vehicle in the 3700 block of 32nd Avenue South and conducted a traffic stop. The patrol officer said Phoenix Lindblad was driving the truck and admitted he stole the truck to “teach him a lesson,” according to court documents.

Charging documents say Lindblad admitted to driving recklessly away from the bar. After the truck was recovered, the victim noticed new damage to the front bumper and driver’s side front quarter panel.

Lindblad was arrested and booked into the Cass County Jail. No mug shot was available at the time of this publication.
