The Israel Defense Forces carried out a drone strike on the Nur Shams camp near Tulkarem on Monday evening, killing at least one Hamas member who was released from an Israeli prison last November as part of the hostage release agreement.

The Palestinian Authority reported that five people were eliminated in the attack, including Jibril Jibril, a member of the terrorist organization Hamas who was released from an Israeli prison under the November agreement.

The Israeli military said it had carried out an attack on a command center of local terrorist groups.

As part of the November agreement, Israel released several Palestinian terror prisoners, most of them from Judea and Samaria – also known as the West Bank – in exchange for hostages taken by Hamas on October 7.

Jibril was arrested on terrorism charges related to his involvement in stone throwing, throwing explosives and his links with the terrorist group Hamas.

In another incident on Monday that is currently being investigated by the Israeli army, Israeli settlers shot dead a Palestinian and injured three others in Bethlehem, according to a report by the Palestinian Authority-affiliated news site WAFA.

Ynet News identified the killed man as Khalil Ziada (40) from East Jerusalem.

Especially since the start of the war on October 7, there have been increasing clashes between Israeli settlers and Palestinians in the West Bank.

In early August, around 100 Israelis, including extremist settlers, entered the Palestinian city Jeet in SamariaThere were riots, car fires and the death of at least one Palestinian man.

The Israeli Defense Forces are currently investigating the incident. Initial findings indicate that Israeli soldiers did not adequately address the unrest and attacks.

Miriam Yarad, a resident of Yitzhar in Samaria, claimed she survived an organized Arab lynching on the main street in Hawara on Monday evening.

Yarad said she only escaped by a miracle after her car was badly damaged and shrapnel flew over her. Speaking to Hebrew news site Ma’ariv, Yarad said: “It was really a lynching. I came home and in the Huwara area they had apparently prepared in advance, saw me and attacked.”

“They ran at my car from all directions, their faces clearly visible, without fear. They just attacked the car and blew it up. The whole car was destroyed. Miraculously, they didn’t hit my head; the headlights – everything was damaged.”

Yarad said she survived because she “just kept going.”

She was questioned by the Israeli army about the incident, but stated: “So far we have not heard anything about the arrest of the rioters.”

“They walk around openly, they are not afraid,” said Yarad. “They know that nothing will be done to them – that happens all the time. Nothing happens to the stone throwers anymore, they feel safe.”

For over a year, incidents involving Molotov cocktails and stone throwing have been occurring in Judea and Samaria.

The Israeli military made few arrests because most incidents occurred at night and suspects fled before Israeli security forces arrived.
