BRIDGETON, NJ (CBS) – A woman was filmed jumping over a fence and taunting a tiger at the Cohanzick Zoo in Bridgeton, New Jersey, was charged with trespassing.

Bridgeton police said 24-year-old Zyair Dennis was also charged with two city ordinances after she was observed putting her hand through holes in a chain link fence after climbing over a wooden barrier at the Cumberland County Zoo on Aug. 20.

A video shared by the agency showed the tiger pacing before placing both paws on the wire as the woman walked away and hopped back onto the sidewalk.

“I was horrified, frankly,” said John Medica, director of recreation and public affairs for the city of Bridgeton. “It was just very reckless, a very reckless action, and I hope the person realizes how lucky he was to still have all of his limbs.”

According to police, the restricted area that officers said Dennis entered was next to the zoo’s bear enclosure. A statement from the department said Police Chief Michael Gaimari Sr. was also informed of a similar video “showing the same scene in the bear enclosure with the same person on the same day.”
