These are the skills and abilities you should unlock first

An important aspect Black Myth Wukong is to acquire the right skills early on so that progress becomes easy. Depending on their play style, players can choose from many paths when it comes to the black myth Wukong Skill tree. However, certain skills are generally more efficient than others, especially in the early stages of the game.

In the first and second chapters of the game, many skills are not available to players, so the best skills for the early game will likely differ from the final version, and as the game progresses, players can customize the skill tree to suit their playstyle.

Best Early Game Skills in Black Myth Wukong

One can say, Black Myth Wukong is not just a random adaptation of the Chinese classic Journey to the West. It’s a well-nuanced game that blends traditional Chinese mythology with modern gameplay mechanics. It offers players many skill options that can be overwhelming at first. The skill tree is divided into six branches: Basics, Staff Stances, Mysticism, Alteration Strand, and Transformations. Each branch is further divided into subcategories where players can allocate points to specific skills as they see fit.

In the early stages of Black Myth WukongPlayers will likely look into the Foundation branch as it is the most basic. Simian Agility in the Stamina (Foundation) category is highly recommended as it allows players to dodge with less stamina expenditure. Keep in mind that the game has no block or parry feature, so it is important to learn a skill that allows players to avoid incoming attacks. Alternatively, players can choose Deft Evasion, which increases the distance covered when making evasive moves.

As you progress further in the Endurance category of Foundation, you can unlock the Composure skill, which allows you to dodge light attacks. In the Martial Arts section of Foundation, you can select Swift Engage, which increases the distance of the first attack of your light attacks. This pairs very well with the Composure skill.

Continue on to the Martial Arts section and get Effortless Finisher, which increases the character’s focus when the second move of a light attack hits the opponent. This is especially good in early games, as players are not used to proper combos and the skill increases damage automatically without any extra effort.

In the Survival section of Foundation, the choices depend entirely on your playstyle and preferences. The Survival tree is all about increasing health, stamina, and damage, so distribute points according to your needs.

Do not neglect the other skill trees except the Foundation trees in Game Science Black Myth Wukong. Sure, the Foundation tree is your first choice for the early game, but the rest is just as important, if not more importantHowever, recommending specific skills in a different category can be a bit complicated as you need to curate them according to your playstyle.

There are three available stance trees for players to choose from. The Smash stance is the most versatile overall, offering a mix of good offense and defense. The Resolute Counterflow ability is a must if you choose this stance, as it allows you to throw heavy attacks in between light attack combos.

The Pillar Stance is the most unconventional, as it lifts the character into the air at the end of a combo. Utilizing this stance to its maximum potential can be difficult, especially for new players. The Thrust Stance, on the other hand, magically extends the staff like a beam, increasing the attack range.

There are many other skill trees that players can aim for, as mentioned above. However, investing points into Mysticism, Alteration, Strand, and Transformation early on is generally not recommended, as you won’t be able to maximize your potential. Additionally, many of these trees are inaccessible to new players to begin with.
