New Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Movie Compilation; Hidden Inventory Storyline Covered

Disclaimer: This article contains spoilers for the manga and anime Jujutsu Kaisen.

During Juju Fest 2024, it was announced that there will be a compilation film of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2’s Hidden Inventory Arc. The film is scheduled to be released in 2025. We expect a theatrical release in Japan, but no further details about the film have been released at the time of writing. Hidden Inventory Arc was the first part of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2.

The first 5 episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 covered the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death (Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu) arc. This arc is also known as Gojo’s Past Arc. The remaining 18 episodes focused on the Shibuya Incident arc. The series is based on the popular manga Jujutsu Kaisen by Gege Akutami.

The Hidden Inventory Arc follows the life of Satoru Gojo and his time as a second-year student at Jujutsu High. In the spotlight alongside Gojo are his classmates Suguru Geto and Shoko Ieiri. During this arc, they are tasked with escorting the Star Plasma Vessel to Master Tengen while being attacked by a group of curse users.

One of the most standout moments of the arc is Toji Fushiguro, also known as The Sorcerer Killer. Toji is a former member of the Zenin clan and the father of Megumi Fushiguro. He is one of the most evil villains in the manga and what sets him apart is the fact that he has no cursed energy, making it difficult for others to notice his presence.

It will be interesting to see some of the fight scenes on the big screen, especially the rematch between Gojo and Toji. In this fight, Gojo gains newly awakened abilities and eliminates Toji with his Hollow Technique: Purple. Another highlight of this story arc is when Suguru Geto becomes a villain and comes into confrontation with Gojo in Shinjuku.

Following the finale of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, a sequel was announced that focuses on the Culling Game arc. Details on the format of the rumored Season 3 have not yet been released. With over 90 million copies of the manga in circulation, there is no doubt about the series’ popularity and fans are excited for more Jujutsu Kaisen action. Stay tuned for the latest updates on the franchise!
