Singer Jam Hsiao hosts a wedding banquet in October

One could say that the preparations for the big wedding took 17 years.

Taiwanese singer Jam Hsiao and his wife Summer Lin, who is also his long-time manager, will hold a wedding banquet in Taipei in October, almost a year after their wedding.

According to a report by Taiwan’s Next Apple News on August 26, the wedding invitations were sent electronically to friends and relatives, with the e-cards decorated with flowers.

The banquet will take place on October 13th at the Taipei Marriott Hotel. The dress code is black/white for men and grey/pink for women.

Hsiao, 37, and Lin, 51, asked their friends and relatives to fill out an electronic form to facilitate planning. The questions include basic information such as names and contact numbers.

Guests are also asked to provide the names of friends or relatives traveling with them so that they can sit together.

Dietary preferences are also recorded. For example, guests can indicate preferences for vegetarian or beef-free dishes.

Their wishes for the couple can be written on the form if they are too shy to convey their congratulations in person. There is also a reminder not to drink as they drive to the banquet.

Hsiao proposed to Lin on June 26, 2023, a day before her 50th birthday, and they registered their marriage on October 19, 2023. She has been working with the Mandopop star since he rose to fame on the reality singing competition One Million Star in 2007.

Over the years, rumors circulated that the two were in a romantic relationship in addition to their professional partnership, but this was never officially confirmed until their engagement.
