It was recently announced that the adventure horror film Anaconda, return to the big screen, with Jack Black And Paul Rudd currently in talks to take on the lead role. While it was reported that the upcoming film would lean more towards comedy rather than the adventure horror genre of the previous film, anacondaDeadline has now confirmed that the new film is not a remake of the 1997 film with Jennifer Lopez.

While the plot has not yet been revealed, the film is said to feature a new version of the serpent that appeared on screens nearly three decades ago. At the time of writing, no deal has been signed, but talks have been ongoing for some time. So far Tom Gormican will direct this project and write the screenplay together with Kevin Etten. In the meantime, Brad Fuller And Andrew Form will produce the comedy.

Gormican is known for his work in The unbearable burden of enormous talent and recently wrote the latest Netflix action comedy film, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F. He started his Hollywood career in 2014 and currently has 4 writing, 2 producing and 2 directing credits. Meanwhile, Etten has more writing and producing credits to his credit as he is the executive producer and writer for ScrubsCo-producer and author for Desperate Housewivesand was an author for the Late Show with David Letterman from 1993 to 2015, to name just a few.

What is “Anaconda” about?

anaconda was first released in cinemas on April 11, 1997. Ice Cube, Jennifer Lopez, Jon Voigt, Eric Stoltz, Jonathan HydeAnd Owen Wilson. The film is set in the Amazon, where a film crew is making a documentary about a long-lost indigenous tribe. Unfortunately, the team ends up encountering a large green snake that is responsible for the deaths of several people who got in its way.

Directed by Luis Llosa and written by Hans Bauer, Jim CashAnd Jack Epps Jr. Unfortunately, the film was poorly received by fans and critics, receiving an average critic score of 41% and an even worse average audience score of 24% on Rotten Tomatoes. However, it managed to recoup its $45 million budget at the box office, grossing over $136 million worldwide.
