Ravens’ stock rises, shares fall ahead of NFL 53-man roster deadline

The Ravens are approaching the deadline to reduce their 53-man roster with a bitter aftertaste after suffering a 30-7 loss to the Packers at Lambeau Field on Saturday afternoon.

Josh Johnson threw 5-7 passes for 71 yards and a passing touchdown, while Michael Pratt led the Green Bay passing with 8-12 passes for 80 yards and a touchdown. The Packers dominated on the ground, racking up 193 rushing yards, with Ellis Merriweather leading all ball carriers with 16 yards for 74 yards.

With Baltimore now turning its attention to the Chiefs, let’s look at whose stocks are rising and whose stocks are falling on the Baltimore Ravens ahead of the 53-man roster reduction deadline.

Josh dispelled any notions that he couldn’t be Baltimore’s backup quarterback with two solid performances in a row.

Ali’s first training camp ended miserably and he is reinstated in the squad after Owen Wright broke his foot.

Andrews and Likely are expected to be used more frequently in two tight end packages, and the third-year pass catcher could be a dynamic weapon in the middle of the field.

Walker, a fourth-round draft pick, must earn a significant role after a lackluster training camp this year.

The second-round pick from Washington has the potential of a future Pro Bowler.

Aumavae-Laulu was never able to challenge Andrew Vorhees for a place in the starting eleven and is apparently on the verge of being eliminated.

After two injury-plagued seasons, Ojabo seems ready to contribute.

Joe Evans had a strong summer and is a player to keep an eye on as he continues to develop as a pass rusher.

Williams lost a touchdown on Saturday and is clearly on the verge of making the roster as Jalyn Armour-Davis performed better.
