Upcoming roadwork in Northern Missouri

Below is a list of general highway maintenance work the Missouri Department of Transportation has scheduled in the Northern Missouri region over the next few weeks. All road closures and planned road work can be viewed on the Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org/map/. Inclement weather may cause schedule changes for some of the planned work. In addition to the work noted below, traffic shifts may also occur throughout the region.

Sullivan County

Route 129 – Repaving, August 26-30. The road will be narrowed to one lane and a 10-foot width restriction will be implemented.

Knox County

Missouri Route 156 – August 26-29, roadway restriction for bridge maintenance purposes from 0.50 mile before and after the North River Bridge between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. A 10-foot width restriction will be in place where crews are actively working daily.

Macon County

US Route 36 (eastbound and westbound passing lanes) – August 27, lane closure for installation of a new power line from Gantz Street in Macon to Hickory Street between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

U.S. Route 36 (eastbound) – September 4-5, lane closure for patching from Long Branch Lake Road to Kellogg Avenue in Macon daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

U.S. Route 63 (southbound) – August 28-29, lane closure for patching from Lake Street to Business Route 36/West Briggs Drive in Macon daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Schuyler County

Route O – August 26-27, closed daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for culvert replacement work from Miller Corner to Germania Avenue.

Scotland County

Route A – August 26-29 and September 3. Closed for repairs from Route U to Route M daily from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Route A – September 5, closed from Route U to Route M between 7am and 4pm due to sealing work

Route RA – September 4, closed for repair and sealing work from Route U to CR 107 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
