Pascal Hutton is already planning Elizabeth and Nathan’s future When the heart calls Wedding – even if they are not engaged.

“I would love for Rosemary to perform the wedding,” Hutton, 45, said exclusively We weekly while promoting her new Hallmark Mystery, Nelly knows secrets: A deadly engagementPremiere on Friday, August 23rd.

Hutton played Elizabeth Thornton’s (Erin Krakow) best friend, Rosemary Coulter, on When the heart calls since 2014. Despite their strong bond, the actress said she could not imagine Rosemary marrying Elizabeth and Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry), regardless of what time of year the wedding takes place.

“I feel like Joseph (Viv Leacock) is a solid pastor and he could handle it well,” Hutton explained, noting that she thinks Rosemary would “be more of a maid of honor and help plan the whole thing.”

The Hallmark star pointed out that Rosemary was “instrumental in helping Elizabeth plan her wedding to Jack” in Season 5. (Jack, played by Daniel Lissingdied during the Season 5 finale after being trapped by a landslide.)

“She’s always there for her friend,” Hutton said of the two characters. “She’ll always be there. I can imagine her being a wedding planner and maid of honor.”

Kavan Smithwho plays Rosemary’s husband Leland Coulter, told exclusively Us that his role in Elizabeth and Nathan’s possible wedding would be much smaller.

“Le seems to be making friends with everyone in town, but he hasn’t really spent much time with Nathan yet. It’s weird,” admitted Smith, 54. “I don’t expect Le to play a big role in the wedding in the future, but I’m certainly open to them continuing that relationship on camera.”

Smith joked: “Right now, Le is maybe escorting people to their seats. That’s all!”

Nathan and Elizabeth have been playing with each other’s hearts – and those of their loyal fans – since Season 8, when Nathan confessed his love to Elizabeth. While Elizabeth chose Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally) because of Nathan, she and Lucas eventually broke up in season 10.

At the beginning of season 11, Elizabeth and Nathan seemed to be on their way to their own happy ending again. In the season finale in June, Elizabeth and Nathan made their romance public after they kissed.

“It’s a kind of honeymoon phase,” the 39-year-old Krakow said exclusively Us in June. McGarry, also 39, joked: “They’re in a whole new phase,” but explained that a TV wedding could still be a long way off.

McGarry joked: “It’s been five years since the kiss happened, so we’ve had a lot of time to imagine what this wedding is going to be like. I will say if and when it happens – if and when it happens – I hope it’s special for her.”

While a wedding in season 12 has not yet been announced, Hutton said Us in August that Rosemary and Elizabeth will again have many scenes together this season.

“We’ve only just filmed the first two episodes and I’m already thinking, ‘My goodness. There’s a lot going on with Rosemary,'” she revealed Uswhich reveals that Rosemary and Bill Avery (Jack Wagner) will “team up” to solve another mystery when the show returns.

Before the 12th season of WCTHFans can see Hutton and Smith together in their first Hallmark mystery movie. Nelly knows secrets: a deadly engagement. Hutton plays the busybody and local advice columnist Nelly Parker.

After finding a dead body in her quirky town, Nelly helps new detective Michael Hogan (Smith) solve the crime and get used to the obscure nature of Babbleton – which exudes retro vibes.

“I think this character is fascinating on several levels,” said Hutton Us by Nelly. “Hopefully there will be more films and people will be excited about this character and want to know more about her because she is not just one-dimensional.”

Smith revealed that Hutton’s role was “right up her alley” because Nelly is “quirky in the way (Hutton) likes to be.” His role, however, is a little more difficult to play.

“Because Michael is still new in town, he doesn’t interact with the other characters in the same way. So the hope is that over time we’ll learn a little bit more about who Michael is,” he explained, noting that he thought the Nelly knows secrets The idea was a no-brainer for the long-time friends. “I just thought we could do it. I thought this could be a home run for us.”
