Welcome back, college football.

After seven long months, the crazy, lovable sport is back and will dominate our Saturdays, starting with four games in “Week 0.” It’s just a taste of the full slate of games that await us in Week 1, but it’s certainly an appealing one.

No. 10 Florida State and Georgia Tech open the season with an ACC matchup in Dublin, Ireland. Quarterback DJ Uiagalelei – formerly of Clemson and Oregon State – leads the Seminoles into the season with legitimate College Football Playoff aspirations after a controversial absence last year. But the Yellow Jackets are no pushover, coming off a solid seven-win season.

While the opening game is undoubtedly the highlight, the other three matchups offer plenty of excitement as well. Two FCS teams – Montana State and Delaware State – will try to beat their respective FBS opponents in New Mexico and Hawaii. In between, SMU, which is beginning its first season as a member of the ACC, will face Nevada.
