Record-breaking collection of vintage Nokia phones – InspireMore

Nokia is a Finnish manufacturer that created the legendary “Brick.” When it came out, it was state-of-the-art and for many people, it was their first mobile phone. However, technological advances quickly eclipsed the Brick. Today, Nokia phones evoke nostalgic memories. For one collector, vintage phones have become a lifelong passion.



Wences Palau Fernandez from Barcelona, ​​Spain, owns 3,615 mobile phones. Much of his collection consists of old Nokia phones, but also over 160 brands. Guinness World Records recently recognized and celebrated this huge collection.

On his collection website, Wences describes his first Nokia phone, model 3210, which he received as a Christmas present in 1999. You could say it was love at first call. He enjoyed the robust reliability of the Nokia phone. Although his collection of 3,615 different All in all, he has more than 6,500 phones! He started collecting vintage Nokia phones in 2008 and has no plans to stop.

Wences is very selective when it comes to collecting brands other than Nokia. His collection includes models from Siemens, Motorola, Blackberry and iPhone. His collection also includes items from other electronic genres, such as Casio watches, TVs and calculators, some video games from the 1980s, remote-controlled model cars and trains and various computer parts. Nokia phones are his passion, but collecting electronics is in his blood.

Several vintage phones in Wences’ collection are unreleased prototypes and limited edition models. He proudly talks about the Nokia 3220 Star Wars Ep III series, including the Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Starfighter, Padawan and Cyborg versions.
