After releasing Android 15 QPR1 Beta 1 for Pixel devices older than the Pixel 9 series, Google is now also releasing Android 15 Beta for the Pixels 9, Pixel 9 Proand Pixel 9 Pro XL – the brand new Google smartphones that are just arriving to pre-orderers. With this release, users of these devices will have the opportunity to test the latest features before the official release.

Release notes for Android15 Beta 4.2 (Build AP31.240617.015) adds the new devices on August 22

Initially, the new devices didn’t appear on Google’s Android Beta website for Pixels, so they couldn’t be enrolled in the beta program. However, it seems that they are now appearing. This means that if your device doesn’t appear for now, you may have to be patient and simply wait a bit. Otherwise, you can always install it manually by flashing the factory images, although this would require more work.

Once you’ve enrolled in the beta program, you should receive an over-the-air (OTA) update for the beta. However, keep in mind that beta software can be unstable and contain bugs, so it’s recommended that you back up your data and be prepared for potential issues before installing the beta.

As Android15 As the official release draws ever closer, we can expect Google to continue refining the software and fixing any remaining bugs. Future beta releases will likely bring further improvements and optimizations, and may also introduce new features that weren’t included in the first beta.
