Apple’s first foldable device has just been delayed again – and it’s not a phone

Just a few weeks ago, we lived in a whimsical world where Apple was rumored to launch at least two foldable devices in 2026. Alas, what young fools we were, because a new report from GSMArena claims that Apple could potentially delay the launch of a foldable device – of any type – until at least 2027, and possibly 2028.

This prediction about the foldable Apple device comes from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, a reliable source whose leaks are mostly correct. According to Kuo, Apple was supposed to start producing its first foldable device in 2026, but has postponed it to late 2027 or early 2028.
