The order also includes 500 Volvo trucks with highly efficient diesel and gas engines. All trucks are expected to be delivered between 2024 and 2026. These new additions will significantly strengthen DSV’s fleet and further advance the company’s commitment to reducing CO2 emissions.

Roger Alm, President of Volvo Trucks, was enthusiastic about the collaboration: “I am very proud to deepen the partnership with DSV. Collaboration and a strong commitment to making a real difference are essential to making sustainable transport and major CO2 reductions a reality. This order is a testament to their trust in our company and shows that zero-emission transport is a viable solution here and now.”

Søren Schmidt, CEO of DSV Road, also stressed the importance of the agreement: “Cross-industry cooperation is key in the fight against climate change and we are pleased to expand our partnership with Volvo in our joint effort to reduce emissions in the transport industry. The deal with Volvo is an important step towards a more sustainable future in transport.”

The new trucks, including the Volvo FH Aero Electric with improved aerodynamics, will boost DSV’s more energy-efficient fleet. DSV, already a major transporter for the Volvo Group, is deploying Volvo’s electric trucks in Sweden and Denmark, using its own solar-powered charging infrastructure.

Both companies remain committed to the Science-based Targets Initiative and will ensure that their actions are consistent with the goals of the Paris Agreement.

Since 2019, Volvo Trucks has delivered over 3,800 electric trucks to 46 countries. The broad product range covers various applications, from urban distribution to regional transport and construction. Volvo’s electric trucks have covered a total of more than 90 million kilometers in operation, proving their performance and reliability on the global market.
