RIGBY – Loft 745, a wedding venue at 5 North 3800 East at County Line Road in Rigby, is reopening after being closed for nearly a year, and there are some changes.

The most noticeable change is the demolition of the restaurant building on the south side. The garden area was also reduced on the south side and expanded on the west side.

Georgia Pearle Foster, who runs the business with her husband Josh, is hosting an open house on Saturday. The community is invited to stop by and see what has changed. Watch the video above.

Georgia tells EastIdahoNews.com that the community’s most frequently asked questions over the past few months have mostly been about the demolition and whether a new building will be built. Rumors have been circulating on social media, most of which are untrue, and the couple is willing to speak to what’s going on at the open house.

“We know a lot of people want to know what’s going on on this corner. If they want to find out, they can talk to Josh and me at the open house,” Georgia says.

The Fosters own a publishing company through which they have published several books. Their books will be available at the open day, along with free biscuits and other items from Fixxology Drinks (formerly Fiz Bizz). The day will run from 2pm-6pm.

Josh’s parents, Boyd and Laurie Foster, purchased Loft 745 from the previous owner in 2019. Josh and Georgia have been running it ever since.

Josh and Georgia were looking to retire last year to focus more on their writing careers, and were also dealing with major life changes. The owners put the business up for sale, but ultimately changed course.

Georgia and her husband continue to run the venue, stressing that it can be reserved for any occasion, not just weddings. She wants people to use the space for a variety of activities, including craft fairs, yoga classes, corporate parties and more.

She used to take care of the entire decoration of the events, but now she leaves that to the client.

“I realized I can’t do everything and be everything to everyone,” she says. “I want the community to do a little more with their own events. We’ve changed the prices to reflect that change. Our average prices are much lower than before.”

Loft 745 is an iconic store in Rigby and she is determined to continue serving customers.

“We’re excited to rethink how the store and the space works,” she says. “We want to continue to be a gathering place and make sure it continues to be a flagship for the area.”
