Was Ben Affleck And Jennifer Lopez doomed to failure from the start?

As more divorce details about the exes come to light, we hear how the couple apparently had problems with their early marriage. On Wednesday, an insider told Page Six Bennifer’s woes can be traced back to their honeymoon! In case you forgot, the couple had their second wedding ceremony – the big one – in Georgia in August 2022 and then flew to Lake Como in Italy. And on that trip, according to the source, Ben quickly realized how much he had taken on too much:

“He wasn’t happy that they were being followed by paparazzi. (Jennifer) is an international superstar and he acted like it was a surprise that they were being followed.”

Oops…

Ben’s dislike of being in the spotlight – despite his profession – is something he’s pretty consistent about. He’s just more of a private guy, and that’s difficult when you’re with someone who’s in the hierarchy that J.Lo is in! We mean, he’s SUPER famous too, but Jennifer definitely seems to enjoy it more.

The insider added that the couple “barely spoke to each other during the trip, during what should have been the happiest time of their lives.” Not a good start!

Another reason for their argument was allegedly Ben’s sobriety. Justice League The star got cold feet in the relationship when his lifestyle change “started to become normal.” The source revealed:

“He was just getting sober… He was in a vulnerable state, and whatever their chemistry was playing into that… He was in this frenzied, excitable state.”

So all this stormy romance stuff wasn’t what he original felt?? Damn, that’s cold. No wonder why the Let’s get loud The singer later felt so humiliated by him! The insider added:

“He convinced Jennifer that he was a different person, and that only lasted a very short time.”

This is really very sad for J.Lo! She thought she was going to be reunited with the love of her life! And while Ben may have felt that way to some extent at first, it obviously faded pretty quickly. And being constantly bombarded by paparazzi didn’t help either. The source added:

“He doesn’t want (the entourage) and all the drama that comes with it in his house.”

Yeesh. That’s a pretty public and expensive wake-up call for him! What do you think??
