One day after Michelle and Barack Obama thrilled the audience with their speeches at the Democratic Party Convention in Chicago, it is Tim Walz’s turn to take the stage.

Kamala Harris’ running mate is the keynote speaker Wednesday night. Walz was in Milwaukee with Harris on Tuesday to speak at a rally before 15,000 enthusiastic supporters at the Fiserv Forum. They watched the roll call vote from Chicago on the big screen in Milwaukee, where Harris was officially named the Democratic presidential nominee.

Now Walz, the governor of Minnesota, will introduce himself to the American public and explain why the Harris-Walz ticket should win the White House in November. The third day of the DNC is themed “A Fight for Our Freedoms.”

What time does the DNC start tonight?

The third day of the DNC begins at 5:30 p.m. CT.

The speakers’ presentations are scheduled to last until around 10 p.m. However, given the first two evenings, it is likely that the program will not end at this time.

How to watch the DNC tonight

There are many ways to follow the Democratic National Convention. The DNC’s official social media accounts will restream the evening’s events on computers, tablets and mobile phones.

DNC TV tonight

Network broadcasts will broadcast the DNC elections live during prime time — typically the closing speeches of the evening. ABC and NBC’s coverage begins at 8 p.m. CBS’s broadcast begins at 9 p.m.

Who are the DNC speakers tonight?

Walz will close the evening as keynote speaker. He will speak at 9 p.m., probably more like 9:30 p.m. or later. His appearance comes a day after he and Harris took the stage in Milwaukee for a rally.

Other speakers on tonight’s schedule include former President Bill Clinton, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson is also scheduled to speak this evening.
