Four days after his disappearance, a man was found dead in his truck, which had sunk into a Pennsylvania river.

Brian Posch, 36, was last seen around 11 a.m. local time on Friday, April 5, and “was last seen driving a white Ford Super Duty,” according to Brighton Township police.

According to CBS affiliate KDKA-TV, he was reported missing after failing to show up for work.

According to KDKA-TV and NBC affiliate WPXI, divers discovered a large mass of metal in the Monongahela River on April 9, which later turned out to be his truck.

The man’s body was found in the vehicle, according to WPXI and Beaver County Times.

The cause of death has not yet been determined, but police believe no crime has been committed.

“We currently have no evidence of a crime, but as with all investigations, the situation can change at any time,” Elizabeth Police Chief Ken Honick told KDKA-TV.

How Posch’s vehicle ended up in the water is still unclear.

Wife Alanna told WPXI the couple exchanged “I love yous” before her husband left for work Friday morning. She later found out he never made it to the job site.

Concerned, Alanna called her husband dozens of times on his cell phone and sent him several text messages, but by 7 p.m. that same evening there was no further contact.

“He’s a wonderful father and a wonderful husband, and he loves us and his daughter so much,” she said during the interview, which was released before his body was found.

Posch leaves behind both his 1-year-old daughter and his wife, Alanna, according to a GoFundMe campaign launched after his death to support his wife and child.

“As the healing process begins, Alanna and Mila will need all of us more than ever,” a message on the fundraising page reads. “All funds raised will be provided to help Alanna get through the days/weeks/years ahead.”

As of Wednesday afternoon, the online fundraiser had raised more than $25,000.
