    UNCW sports ticket sales and attendance for the 2023-24 school year

    Another year of college sports begins for UNCW.

    The 2023-24 school year was a strong year for the Seahawks, who won four Coastal Athletic Association titles and collected countless individual accolades.

    Below is a list of total attendance and ticket revenue for UNCW’s five major athletic programs for the 2023-24 school year.

    UNCW Men’s Basketball Team 2023-24 Ticket Sales: $649,349

    Not surprisingly, UNCW men’s basketball is the university’s flagship athletic program. Thanks to their strong performance on the court in recent years, Seahawks fans have packed Trask Coliseum more often than any other university sport.

    UNCW reported selling 63,445 tickets for the men’s basketball season during the 2023-24 school year, for total revenue of nearly $650,000 – more than 75% of the athletic department’s total revenue from game ticket sales.

    UNCW baseball ticket sales 2023-24: $154,455

    The Seahawks won their second consecutive Coastal Athletic Association championship in May and qualified for the NCAA baseball tournament for the third time in five years.

    This solid performance resulted in 40,997 tickets being sold at Brooks Field this spring, for total revenue of $154,455.

    Ticket sales for the 2023-24 UNCW women’s basketball team: $21,150

    The UNCW women’s basketball team began its rebuilding process last year under new coach Nicole Woods and finished the season 5-25. Despite some difficulties, the team sold 12,093 tickets and raised more than $21,000.

    • Men: $18,858; Attendance: 8,301
    • Women: $11,198; Attendance: 7,229

    Total UNCW Sports Ticket Revenue and Attendance for 2023-24

    Overall, UNCW generated $855,010 in ticket revenue for the 2023-24 school year, with total attendance across the school’s five major sports increasing to just over 132,000.

    These figures only refer to ticket sales and attendance. Other revenue streams such as fundraisers and concessions could significantly increase the revenue of individual programs.
