Phone cases of all shapes and sizes have been all the rage lately (especially in New York City). In fact, they’re pretty much the uniform of Brooklyn moms who drop off their stuff with them—something that feels incredibly freeing, unlike the back-breaking bags we usually lug to the office, playground, and more. Yes, our kids’ backpacks may be stuffed to the brim, but our phone case (minimalist fashion at its finest!) is as light as a feather and filled with only the bare essentials. What a gift.

Nevertheless, the Easy Phone Tote from Cuyana is an eye-catcher and I took it everywhere with me after testing it.

This particular handbag offers more than just minimalism, it brings organization to life—another benefit of paring down. Yes, I carry my bag when I drop it off, but it also feels intentional and luxurious when I carry it to the office (stuck in my oversized tote, ready to take to an afternoon lunch or coffee break) or when I go out with friends in the evening.

Here’s why: You can actually pack quite a lot into it while still limiting it to the things you really need. Just this week, for example, I took mine to a Broadway show and this is what I took with me: my phone (it Is a cell phone case, at least), but also an Aloha bar, a lipstick, my keys, my cardholder-sized wallet, sunglasses, and a pack of Life Savers. Not bad. Everything was easily accessible (cue the organizational advantage mentioned above), but my luggage was impressively light.

But it’s not just about practicality. This handbag – a miniature version of Cuyana’s larger tote – is chic. It’s available year-round, but the color palette changes. In my case, I own one in red, which is unfortunately now sold out, but the Cappuccino (pictured here) is perfect for fall, as are the Deep Ocean and Cherry shades. I love the adjustable strap that lets me wear it as a crossbody bag, but also the fact that it’s removable. (Carrying this little tote by the handles is pretty streamlined and cute too.)

Finally—and this is a big deal—I’ve carried this handbag to all sorts of places for nearly six months, and the soft leather with its grained texture feels appropriately worn but still looks brand new. (It’s worth noting that Cuyana partners with the Leather Working Group to ensure their leather is tanned in an environmentally friendly way.)

I will respond with a loud “ damn yeah—but here’s why: Cheers to literally anything it helps us simplify our lives. We have so many things to do all the time and I love the feeling of being able to carry everything with me, but also knowing that I look cute and composed with it. On top of that, it’s also the handbag that gets me the most compliments lately. And at that price? It’s definitely a modest investment that’s worth it.

$198 at Cuyana

This Cuyana bag, endorsed by Meghan Markle, has just launched in a mini size that you’ll want to carry daily
