However, DC has finally made up for their disastrous BatCat wedding with three words that give the iconic couple their well-deserved moment of vows.

Bruce and Selina begin their mission not knowing what they are stealing, only that it is vital to Waller’s plans. They soon learn that the villain has acquired a boom tube, raising the stakes to a dangerous level. Amid the tension Batman and Catwoman share one of their most emotional moments, summed up in three words: “Into the unknown.”

When Batman realizes that the Mother Box is on the other side of the Boom Tube, he knows his only option to save himself is to venture through it – an extremely dangerous and potentially life-threatening decision, as he has no idea what awaits him on the other side. Aware of the risks, he tells Selina to hide, leave the island, and go back underground, implying that he will not go with her. Catwoman proves that she is truly a life-or-death warrior by not leaving Batman to face the danger aloneand says:“Into the unknown.” A feeling that Bruce gives back to her.

The exchange between Selina and Bruce “Into the Unknown” reflects the meaning of the word “I do” at weddings. In this context “Into the Unknown” chas the same meaning as traditional vows and symbolizes their promise to face an uncertain future together. Is there hope for a future BatCat wedding in the DCU that actually has a happy ending?

Despite Batman #151 features an exceptionally unique and unconventional exchange of wedding vows between Selina and Bruce. Some diehard BatCat fans who crave a traditional happy ending might feel that this moment doesn’t fully make up for DC’s botched BatCat wedding. This raises the question of whether the couple will ever officially tie the knot in mainstream continuity. There are currently no plans for Selina and Bruce to marry. However, according to King, there was once a plan for a second wedding that would have been completed. If King had served as head writer for the Batman or Catwoman title, he might decide to reconsider this possibility.
