Actor Josh Hartnett has told the story of how he met his wife Tamsin Egerton while filming the “worst movie” they have ever starred in.

The Oppenheimer Star, 46, met the St. Trinian Actor, 35, when they played together in The loving oneswho play a couple in the time travel adventure film.

In conversation with actress Julia Stiles in interview Hartnett admitted to the magazine that the two met in “the most Hollywood way you can imagine.”

“We played husband and wife in the worst film we ever made,” he said. “No offense to the director, the film will remain nameless. It just got lost in post-production.”

Both stars were already in relationships when they met, but quickly split from their “significant partners,” Hartnett said.

“We were filming here in London and we both had partners, and we both realised it wasn’t going to work because we really liked each other,” he explained. “So I broke up with my girlfriend, she broke up with her boyfriend, and after we stopped filming we started dating.”

The couple were first linked in 2012 and initially had a long-distance relationship, with Harnett living in the United States and Egerton in the United Kingdom.

“I lived in New York and she lived in London, so we went on a few vacations together,” the actor said. “Then she came to the States and we went on a long road trip where she met my parents, and it went on like that.”

“And then she continued to stay with me and I continued to stay with her. We lived together between two houses most of the time, and then she got pregnant and then we got married.”

Hartnett and Egerton had their first child, a daughter, in 2015 and are now parents of four children. They finally married in November 2021 and live in the English countryside.
