    Lebanon Daily News: New sports reporter Zavier Gussett

    For my first post, it is only right that I briefly introduce myself and tell how I came to report for the Lebanon Daily News.

    My name is Zavier, a native Pennsylvanian from the Poconos. I recently graduated from Penn State University with my bachelor’s degree and I can say that I have enjoyed my time in the state so far.

    Now that I’m entering Lebanon County, I’m excited to interact with the community, learn about their sports history, and find out where the stories lie.

    Prior to this job, I covered Penn State sports for the campus newspaper and had some great opportunities to cover top-notch sports programs and make some great connections along the way. In addition, I also ran my own media network called Call The Huddle.

    I have been leading the brand since 2018, which has allowed me to cover football at all levels while also interviewing and working with many professionals in the sport.

    During my time in school, developing multimedia became one of my favorite ways to tell stories.

    I have made photography, design and production my hobbies, so I will be posting interviews, graphics and other projects through the lens. The area I’m coming to has plenty of great scenery and sporting venues, so I can’t wait to incorporate the visual elements into my work.

    After reading about my background and the work I enjoy, it should be clear that my daily life revolves around sports and the entertainment that comes with them.

    As I begin to roam Lebanon County, I hope you enjoy my coverage, follow me on social media, and introduce yourself if you ever see me!
